Categories
In Commerce, Categories enable you to create a hierarchical structure of product categories, At the top level of this hierarchy is the Department followed by Category, Majorcategory and Subcategory. All products are associated with the subcategory level.
Any level of the user doesn't have permission to change/delete the department as it's handled in DB level. Based on the request, apptino support team can help the customer to customize the department

ADD CATEGORY

| 1 2 3 4 5 | Navigate from the main menu, Products >> Categories Select the department and click on ADD CATEGORY Enter the category name and click on SAVE New category created under the selected Department Similarly user can create subcategory by selecting the category |
Note: Any level of the user doesn't have permission to update the created category name, user should delete the category and create a new one for any change
DELETE CATEGORY:

Note:
- User cannot delete category directly, they have to delete from the bottom hierarchy

- Category icon will appear in the megamenu. The image file should be in SVG, PNG or JPG format with a minimum of 24 X 24 pixels and not bigger than 10KB Category image should be 100 X 100 pixels and no bigger than 25KB. Do not include any trademarks images
